Decorating for Halloween

I have come to believe I am a terrible blogger. I have not posted since last spring! Somehow for me holding down a full time job and blogging don't mesh together so well. I did however, finally put out my Halloween decorations and wanted to share them with you.

Well not so much Halloween, but I wanted to show you what you can do with a few things from Michaels to spruce things up for the season.

Now here we go..

Are these two guys adorable or what?

Mum, you want some coffee? OK>>> I know that was corny.

Dollar Tree sign.. good deal huh?

I found this glass bowl at an antique fair.. it had a small chip in it that was glued back in, but for $10 I thought it was a deal.. in perfect condition these babies bring a pretty penny.

Kind of hard to see this candy corn guy. My cousin made him for me.. talents!

Do you ever wonder how on earth you are so blessed? I do.... I am so thankful the Lord allows me to have such pretty things in life to enjoy. So that is my round up of Halloween... Hopefully, I can get some pics up of the yard before the fall season is over. Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll be taking a peek at what you guys have been up to. Have a blessed week.

New Mantle Mirror

There is nothing like waiting months and months to put up a new post. Since I started a full time job, I have really had a hard time carving out the time to blog but I can't throw in the towel.
Finally.. I have a couple of spare minutes so I wanted to share how a little mirror project turned out for me. I found this old mirror ona a facebook group called buy, sell, trade. Do any of you have a local group you buy used items from other than Craigs? This was a diamond in the rough, you know the ugly plastic 50, 60's stuff.

Pretty detail
A good cleaning, some newspaper and Annie Sloan

It was pretty dusty. The girl I bought this from said it had been in her Grandmother's barn.

A little soft wax.. then some stain and it started to take shape

I took a little of the paint off with some sandpaper

awww..... perfect fit to the room!
I may not post a lot but still do love stopping in and visiting to see what everyone has been up to.

More Rabbits

As I promised I am posting the rest of my Rabbits. Really feeling like spring here today in NC. It's a perfect time to enjoy little bunnies.

This old boy sits on top of books under a lamp.

This guy I found at a GW type of shop for a couple of bucks.

Another guy sitting on some old books.

I love this little guy on a large oval egg shaped cardboard but don't really know where to hang him? He is pretty large, any ideas?

A plate.. it's a salad size .. my intent was to add to the collection to use at the table but they are crazy expensive!

Food for them all.

Hope you enjoyed my little bunny tour.. have a great weekend!

Multiplying like Rabbits

In spite of the predicted cold week, I am getting excited about the arrival of spring. Plants are peeking their heads about ground. Robins chirping and hopping all over my yard.. all signs spring is coming. A big part of my spring is to drag out all my bunnies, and of course IF needed ,buy some new ones.

How cute is she? Don't ask me how I know it is a she..

My only purchase so far this year
but the season is young!
