Anybody know what this is?


I wanted to share these dessert pieces but here's my proble .. I don't know what the heck they are. I know you guys are pretty savy about china out there in the bloggin world so I thought I would ask  if anybody could fill me in. The peices were passed down in the family and I have had them for years but have no idea about their history. There is no markings on the backs of them. If I were a betting woman I would guess they were promotional.. I remember my Mom buying laundry detergent and getting peices of china or glasses in them.. Can you believe that? It was fun to help her dig the pieces from the bottom of the white powder to see what peice she got with her purchase. The detergent made pretty good packing material... I never saw her get a broken peice. It could have been any peice of the pattern.. always a surprise.  
  

Anybody else remember that, or am I like a dinosar in the blogging world?
The silver came from my husbands grandparents.. there is not a complete set.. it is Remebrance by Roger Bros.


Here is a close up so you can see the gold trim.


I think the pattern is so pretty..


The inside of the cups have the flower design very delicate.


So any takers.. I would love to know the name of this and the history..

    Sorry, I don't know what they are but I love the violets! If no one can help you out, you might try the company Replacements Unlimited. I think they can help identify china and silver patterns.Good Luck!

    Oh yes, Replacements Ltd. would be a great place to start. I just identified some silver I picked up using their site. Your violets are charming. I love your background fabric too. Very pretty!

    Oh yes....I remember those that were in detergents. And the fact that you may still have the items saved from all those years ago [don't get me wrong...I'm remembering too, so I was from that era too!]....this is just phenomenal. Love the violets.

    I can't help with the pattern, but I am a dinosauer too!!! I love the violets pattern and the shape of the plates. Your silver is very pretty too. Good luck finding out about your china. Replacements is a good suggestion from everyone.

    What pretty little plates, I'm no help other than to say I certainly remember diggin in the detergent too. Also I remember collecting glassware at the gas station with a fill up too. Good luck.

    The teacups and plates are beautiful. I,too, remember dishes and glassware in laundry detergent, but nothing so beautiful and delicate as yours. I wish you luck finding the maker and pattern. Let us know if you find out.

    These are really lovely. I am sure you are right about it being promotional because there is now back stamp. I also remember my mother getting fiesta ware pieces in the laundry detergent! That dates me for sure. These are happy, springy pieces to cherish. Great pictures as well. To answer your question about my embroidery machine. I have a small HE240 Brother sewing and embroidery combo machine. It has internal memory which is wonderful. Only thing is that the maximum hoop size is 4x4. It's good enough for me and I love it. Can't wait to see your dress. I am going on emblibrary to check it out!

    What beautiful violet plates! So sweet and delicate. It really doesn't matter what brand they are when they are as pretty as those.

    I just love wild violets and these dishes are just beautiful! So old-fashioned and sweet looking! Your silver flatware is lovely as well. I agree that you might want to Google Replacements, Ltd. online and look for the china pattern that way. Good Luck and enjoy them in the meantime.

    I do remember the dishes in the laundry soap, but never anything as pretty as your violet dishes. Hope you are able to identify them.

    I don't recognize them but I think they are the sweetest ever. I have always loved violets and this pattern is lovely!

    I had a set like it, it was from Germany, but it was stamped. Sold it to an antiques dealer and now I could kick myself for it.

    Thank you for all you sweet comments. I am still looking for the pattern on line .. I will let you know if I find it... Simone interesting you had one in Germany.. I found a book on German in the family stuff.. hmmmm.. wonder if that's where it came from?

    Not to be found but it is close to SWEET VIOLET by SAJI .. I don't know maybe a knockoff.. it does have on the back.. NW-C-160A.. maybe I should have mentioned that.

    Hi there! I found your blog through show and tell friday and I happen to have a saucer with the same print and mine does have a marking in the back! It is a Violet flower print and it's by, "Clarence Bone China Made In England." I also happened to have found the same print online. So hopefully this is some help :)

    So pretty - I'm definitely partial to the purples !

    I also remember the detergent give aways. I have several sets of dishes that were grocery store give aways - a piece each week if you spend X. I did this several times when I was a young girl filling my hope chest !
