Screened in Porch Reveal

I am so excited to finally share my finished (or nearly finished) screened in porch project with you. I put up posts of the porch before and after we painted the floor a couple of post ago. You can see them here

and here

I still have a few things I want to do, but for the most part it is finished. I am thrilled with the results. I have already spent hours out there.

I am in love with the pigeon and lamp shade I found at the thrift store for this project.
I didn't even notice when I was taking pics that I was missing a pillow.. it is in my car to find paint to match. I found the curtains at Wally world.. only $28 for all of them! See Gidgette? She is making sure I don't make a move to leave. It goes on all day.
I love the curtains in this color.. It really gives a peaceful feeling .. Also cuts down on noise and cools the porch. The sign on the bakers rack is going to get a little redo also.. I painted it a flat black... it was hunter green.. anybody else remember hunter green?  My daughter gave me the  duck casserole dish, she went and got him after I mentioned I wish I had picked him up at the thrift store.
I have to cover the stool cushion yet I couldn't find a stool cover in the same fabric. I think I will look for the blue to pick up some pop of color.
I can still get a good view of the fountain.
I went out to take some pics of some flowers
and guess who was greeting me at the door?.. or making sure I didn't go somewhere without her.
She doesn't like to get her feet on the ground.. boy is that a pain.. if it rains forget getting her outside.
I hope you enjoyed visiting my little screened in porch. We are expecting rain tomorrow but I still will make it out to enjoy some fresh air. I feel blessed to be able to enjoy my home.. on Saturday tornadoes tore through our state..they believe as many as 93 tornadoes came through! Many people have lost their homes and sadly 23 lives were lost.
Thanks for stopping by.

I love everything you've done on your porch. I especially like the curtains and I want to hang some on our porch, too. I was wondering about the rods. Do you think they'll rust in the moisture? I thought about painting some inexpensive ones with polyurethane to weatherproof them

Beverly said...

Jane I used pvc pipes cut and metal rods to hold them. Alison @ The Polohouse suggested the pvc pipes which are very inexpensive and you don't have to worry about rust. They will cut them at HD or Lowes, but hubby just cut them. They also come in different diameters to fit the rods. Hope that helps.

Wonderful! Your porch speaks perfection. I love the warm and cozy atmosphere it gives. And it’s screened, so that means it’s completely safe from the bugs and flies coming from the outdoors while being able to enjoy the greenery. Lyn at DAL Builders
